In this subject, students gain knowledge of the evidence that underpins the provision of prosthetic devices for persons with upper and lower limbs amputations. This will include principles of clinical assessment of clients with amputations, clinical decision making and prescription considerations within the prosthetic treatment process. Evidence based prosthetic treatment of various amputation levels is presented in the context of contemporary clinical practice.
